AN Sanctoir - The Beautiful Sanctuary for this weekend

A weekend of free, 5 Rhythmstm dance and creative writing

with Cora Greenhill

August 11 - 13

An invitation to explore the interplay between free dance and spontaneous writing.

Just as we can release the beauty of the inner dancer by paying non-judgemental attention to the body’s impulses in movement, so we can still the mind, quieten the critics, and find the place where words can fall onto the page like ripe apples to the ground. Words can then be spoken with the simple yet powerful presence that comes from the aliveness of the dancing body.
You may feel comfortable with either dance or writing or both, or have a terror of  one and want to explore the edge between them.

You are welcome to come and play exactly as you are, to take risks that can help to heal that ancient divide between body, spirit and mind we have all suffered from. We will move inside to music, and outside to feel our connection to the elements in nature.

Cora Greenhill
has been dancing with Gabrielle Roth and her teachers in Britain and America for many years, and has been accredited to teach the 5 Rhythmstm since 1994. She has a background in literature and humanistic psychotherapy. Cora is also a poet, having published two collections, Dreadful Work (1989) and Deep in Time (1999). Her writing is strongly influenced by the dance, her connection to nature and her sense of the returning Goddess. She also teaches in the north of England and in Crete.
